Georgian-era rings (1714–1837) often feature diamonds, pearls, sapphires, rubies, topaz, and garnet, entirely handmade, and set in silver and yellow gold. Victorian-era rings (1837–1901) are the same and also use amethyst, garnets, and turquoise. These rings feature advances in the industry and in jewelry mass production. 1. The Amado Ring

Starting off this list strong is this classic Amado Ring, a Victorian-era navette-designed piece set in 18k yellow gold, circa 1880. The elongated crown form holds a center round diamond with smaller round-cut diamonds in a halo around it. There is also one more on the top and bottom of the center stone, and all are prong-set, totalling 1.00 carat. Surrounding the navette is a border of blue enamel, with symmetric openwork in the undergallery. 

2. The Merritt Ring

This French Georgian-era Merritt Ring from 1815 is a two-tone antique beauty featuring silver on 18k yellow gold. Sporting a grand, navette-shaped design, it features a center GIA-certified, 1.20-carat Sri Lanka sapphire. Surrounding it are interlocking clef motifs and branches in its openwork, inside a vertical oval halo, covered in small rose-cut diamonds. Accenting its sides on each shoulder are gold floral motifs.

3. The Sarecta Ring

Here’s another exceptional and gem-studded navette-styled ring. The Sarecta is a circa 1800, Georgian-era ring that also pairs silver with 14k yellow gold. The open head gallery has a network of filigree and bezel-set, eleven small round diamonds in silver, totaling approximately 0.84 carats. Accenting it on each shoulder is a fleur-de-lis, leading to it sleek gold shanks.

4. The Rawlins Ring

Named the Rawlins Ring, it is a true antique ring circa 1890 from the Victorian Era. The multicolor, 3-stone composition reflects antique Victorian designs. Its center gem is a bezel-set, 0.12-carat, brown old mine cut diamond surrounded by 2 halos of contrasting gemstones. The first are channel-set ruby stones, surrounded by half-bezel-set diamonds. These all sit on silver, mounted on 14k yellow gold. Completing it are elongated fleur-de-lis on each shoulder, leading to its shanks.

This beautiful Georgian-era circa 1810 Devault ring also uses a silver and 18k gold combination. In the center is a diamond cluster featuring a round diamond flanked by 3 upper and 3 lower rows of smaller diamonds. The black silver prong settings emphasize the diamond cluster totaling 0.70 carats. They all have a J-K color and VS2-SI1 clarity ranges. The 18k gold split shank band features a rose-knot design row in the middle, plus hand-engraved designs and motifs from the Georgian era.

The Victorian-era produced unique designs and jewelry work in gold that remains unmatched today. This Ridgelawn Ring, circa 1890, features multilayered split shanks on its 14k yellow gold band. Around the sapphire trio is an elongated halo of old mine-cut and antique single-cut diamonds, and one accent diamond on each shoulder, totaling approximately 0.70 carats. The undergallery prong rows are beautifully crafted and paired with a sleek, simple gold band.

16. The Oilton Ring

One of our oldest antique Georgian-era pieces is the Oilton Ring, circa 1810. It features an older-era design and jewelry work, with alternating deep red garnets and diamonds in 15k yellow gold. The center oval-cut garnet is next to two pear-shaped garnets at the extreme left and right. In between are two rose-cut diamond stacks, each in the inner left and right, flanking the center stone. The 2-stone arrangement set in gold was a common theme in the jewelry period.

Most of our larger or thicker rings are Victorian-era. And this circa 1880 Rideau Ring has the size, plus the period design and diamonds. The large diamond dome cluster features an approximately 0.30-carat center antique cushion cut diamond, surrounded by a wall of small diamonds, ranging from single cuts to old European cut diamonds. It is elegantly prong-set in silver, with a silver mount and ring. Split shanks leading to a double-shank undergallery design complete this magnificent ring.

It’s between the center vertical row of five old European cut diamonds and small rose-cut diamonds inside the sectioned borders of the halo. All of them total approximately 0.70 carats, with an I color overall, and SI1-SI2 clarity grades. They are all prong-set in silver and mounted on 14k yellow gold.

The Linfield Ring comes from the Victorian Era, circa 1860, a 2-stone timeless luxury piece in 18k yellow gold. It features a center bezel-set, 4.42-carat, elongated cushion-cut, cornflower blue, no-heat Kashmir sapphire. A halo of small old mine diamonds totaling 0.60 carats surrounds this rare gemstone, prong-set in gold. The regal Victorian color palette of blue sapphire, white diamonds, and gold makes it a standout ring.
