What Types of Jewelry do we Buy?

We Buy Loose Diamonds and Gemstones
Although, we strongly recommend sending all jewelry using the form above, here are the types of diamond and gemstone that we’re generally most interested in buying. We purchase a wide range of natural, high-quality loose stones, with particular interest in certified and historically important material.
- Natural Diamonds. We buy all genuine and natural diamonds. Stones accompanied by reputable laboratory certificates are especially preferred. We do not purchase lab-grown diamonds, moissanite, or cubic zirconia.
- Sapphires. Natural sapphires are of interest, ideally with certificates. We are especially drawn to stones from Bruma, Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and the Kashmir region.
- Rubies. We buy natural rubies, preferably certified. Particular emphasis is placed on rubies from Myanmar (Burma), including fine “pigeon blood” examples.
- Emeralds. Certified natural emeralds are preferred, with strong interest in stones originating from Colombia, especially classic Colombian material.
- Colored Diamonds. We buy natural colored diamonds of all hues. Priority is given to stones with strong to vivid color saturation and high overall quality. Certificates are strongly preferred.
- Antique Diamonds. We purchase antique-cut diamonds in all cuts and clarity grades, with a minimum weight of 0.50 carats, whether loose or previously set. Certificates are preferred, but not required at all.
We Buy Designer Jewelry
Estate Diamond Jewelry specializes in acquiring vintage and antique designer jewelry, with particular emphasis on pieces that retain strong provenance.
If the jewelry still has its signatures, maker’s marks, boxes, receipts, certificates, or accompanying papers, our level of interest will be greatly increased.
That said, we are also very interested in modern designer jewelry from these houses, especially when the original documentation is present. As a general rule, the more complete the documentation, the stronger our interest in purchasing.
- Van Cleef & Arpels. Also known as VCA. Signed vintage and antique pieces are highly sought after, including iconic motifs and well-documented modern designs.
- Tiffany & Co. We buy signed Tiffany jewelry across all eras, with particular interest in documented vintage and estate pieces.
- Cartier. Strong demand for signed Cartier jewelry, from antique and Art Deco works to notable modern creations with papers.
- Buccellati. Fine vintage Buccellati pieces are especially desirable for our collection, though signed modern examples with documentation are also welcomed.
- Bulgari. We seek classic and vintage Bulgari designs, as well as important modern pieces, particularly when accompanied by original boxes or papers.
- Harry Winston. High-quality signed pieces from all periods are of interest, with strong preference for documented estate jewelry.
- Graff. We buy exceptional Graff jewelry, especially pieces featuring high-quality diamonds and supporting documentation.
- David Webb. Vintage and estate David Webb jewelry is highly sought after by our buyers, particularly signed pieces with original paperwork or provenance.
