Return Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Estate Diamond Jewelry (also known as “EDJ”) wants every customer to feel confident about their purchase. Most jewelry purchased directly from EDJ may be returned under the terms below. This policy applies unless the item’s invoice, written transaction record, or another EDJ program policy clearly states different terms.
14-Day Return Period
You must contact EDJ within 14 calendar days after documented delivery or pickup to request a return.
For shipped orders, the return period begins on the date the carrier records the package as delivered. For showroom orders, it begins when the jewelry is picked up by the customer or an authorized recipient.
After EDJ approves the return request and provides shipping instructions, you have seven calendar days to hand the package to the specified carrier.
Please do not ship jewelry to EDJ without authorization.
Items Eligible for Return
Regular in-stock jewelry is generally eligible for return. Sale and discounted items remain eligible unless they were clearly identified as final sale before purchase.
Proof of purchase is required. This may include an EDJ receipt, invoice, order number, or another record that allows EDJ to verify the purchase.
EDJ’s standard resizing service does not affect return eligibility.
Items Not Eligible for Return
The following items are generally not returnable:
- Custom-made or specially sourced items
- Engraved jewelry
- Items that received custom alterations or irreversible work
- Items that received Custom Advanced Resizing
- Items identified as final sale before purchase
- Jewelry resized, repaired, polished, reset, custom engraved, tested, or altered by someone other than EDJ
- Other items made nonreturnable under written terms provided before purchase
Custom Advanced Resizing is different from EDJ’s standard resizing service. If a resizing request qualifies as Custom Advanced Resizing, EDJ will identify it before beginning the work.
Custom work, engraving, special sourcing, Custom Advanced Resizing, and other irreversible services may become noncancelable once the authorized work begins.
Condition of Returned Jewelry
Careful indoor try-on is permitted. Returned jewelry must otherwise be in the same condition in which it was delivered or picked up.
The jewelry must be returned with all laboratory reports, certificates, boxes, packaging, accessories, and promotional gifts originally supplied with it.
EDJ will inspect the jewelry after it is returned. New damage, excessive wear, stone loss, alteration, misuse, third-party work, or missing materials may result in a reasonable deduction or rejection of the return.
If a replaceable certificate, document, accessory, or promotional gift is missing, EDJ may deduct its actual replacement cost. If a missing or damaged component materially reduces the value of the jewelry, EDJ may reject the return.

Domestic Return Shipping
For an approved return within the United States, EDJ will ordinarily provide and pay for an insured return label.
The jewelry must be packed according to EDJ’s instructions and handed to the specified staffed carrier location within seven calendar days after return authorization. The customer must obtain and retain a carrier receipt showing that the package was accepted and scanned.
Do not leave the package in a drop box, unattended location, or unrecorded pickup.
When the customer follows EDJ’s packing and shipping instructions, EDJ assumes the insured transit risk after the package is accepted and scanned at the specified staffed carrier location.
Optional expedited outbound shipping and other special shipping charges are not refundable unless required by law or otherwise agreed in writing.
International Returns
International returns require advance authorization from EDJ.
Unless EDJ agrees otherwise in writing, the customer is responsible for international return shipping, insurance, customs duties, taxes, brokerage charges, bank charges, and related expenses. Original international shipping and related charges are not refundable.
Refunds are issued in United States dollars based on the amount originally paid to EDJ. EDJ is not responsible for exchange-rate changes, currency-conversion charges, or fees imposed by a bank or payment provider.
Inspection and Refund Timing
EDJ will inspect the jewelry after receiving it. An approved refund will ordinarily be issued within three to five business days after the inspection is completed.
Refunds are generally issued to the original payment method. Additional processing time may be required by the customer’s bank, credit-card company, or payment provider.
If EDJ proposes a deduction or rejects a return because of the item’s condition, alteration, missing materials, or another policy violation, EDJ will contact the customer before completing the return.
Restocking and Return Fees
EDJ does not charge an ordinary restocking fee on an eligible standard return.
A transaction-specific cancellation, return, or restocking fee applies only when it was disclosed before purchase or is part of another EDJ program accepted by the customer.
Completed layaway purchases remain subject to the Layaway Program. If a completed layaway purchase is returned during the normal 14-day return period, a fee equal to 20% of the amount paid applies.
Order Cancellations
A regular in-stock order may generally be canceled before shipment.
Custom work, engraving, special sourcing, Custom Advanced Resizing, and other irreversible services may become noncancelable once the customer authorizes the work and EDJ begins performing it. Any applicable nonrefundable amount or cancellation fee will be disclosed before the work is authorized.
Refusing delivery or failing to collect a purchase does not automatically qualify as an authorized return. EDJ may deduct actual shipping, insurance, customs, carrier, storage, and return-to-sender expenses resulting from the refusal or noncollection.
Home Viewing and Other Programs
Home Viewing purchases use the same 14-day notification period, seven-day shipping deadline, inspection process, and condition requirements described in this Return Policy.
Layaway, Home Viewing, custom orders, promotional purchases, and other special programs may have additional written terms. The applicable program policy and transaction record control when they provide more specific terms.
Legal and Warranty Rights
This voluntary Return Policy is separate from EDJ’s One-Year Limited Warranty. A final-sale designation or expired return period does not eliminate a warranty right or another right that applicable law does not permit EDJ to restrict.
Customers may request a written copy of this Return Policy by contacting EDJ.
