Victorian engagement rings span over six decades and are typically divided into three periods: Early (Romantic), Mid (Grand), and Late (Aesthetic).
Early Victorian rings often feature nature-inspired motifs like leaves, birds, and flowers, while the Mid-Victorian period leaned toward darker, more dramatic designs, sometimes incorporating black enamel, garnets, and jet. In the later years, the designs became lighter and more refined, with intricate engraving, Old Mine Cut diamonds, and gemstone combinations like sapphire, ruby, and pearl.
Most Victorian rings were made by hand using yellow gold, making each one a tiny work of art with its own unique character.
